Karl Vilhjálmsson, born in Iceland, and Ricardo Wenzel, born in Brazil, are a photography duo based in Helsinki.

Both of us have spent many years working as photographers across a wide range of creative fields — from newspapers and documentary work to stylized magazine portraits, theatre posters, food, and product photography. We are equally comfortable working out in the field, where speed and spontaneity are essential, as we are in the studio, where we can strive for perfection with light and colour.

Together, we bring over forty years of experience in the art of photography.

We wanted to combine all of that experience into one meaningful craft — and that is why we chose wedding photography. Working as a pair is important to us. It allows us to share our creative vision and workflow while ensuring that every important moment is captured. From quiet glances to grand emotions, every smile and every tear of joy matters.

We not only strive to create memorable pictures — we strive to create meaningful experiences. We create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere so our couples feel comfortable, confident, and truly cared for.
